Chair Seat Pads

Padulas and Bunnies ---Spring in a few short months

Snow on the ground outside with more promised for Sunday, it is difficult to think Spring. I have so many chair pads from kits and patterns I have designed over the years, I can switch them around when I feel the need for a change in the kitchen. These are two of my favorites. I actually made four of the Padula one. It reminds me that snow out there will give way to flowers...in a while.

Think Spring and keep on hooking,

Cats

We like cats and apparently a lot of rug hookers do too. We recently got a cat (ginger, like the cat in the rug). I designed the rug a number of years ago in my continuous effort to use up random strips. I do carry a pattern for this rug on Monks Cloth if anybody would like to work this one.

Lulubell is only 6 months old but she rules our two large dogs. She tries to nap with Molly, our standard poodle. Molly barely tolerates Lulubell moving in on her couch space. In the background I see a hall runner I have been working on forever. Nothing new there.

Happy Hooking,

Just Catching up

Last post was some time ago because of a small detour away from hooking after over doing.Thought I would add some photos.

The leaves at fall foliage are amazing. I picked up a few, dyed spot wool to match, and made these useful teapot mats.
We never seem to run out of wool strips and they make a perfect lamb's tongue border.
Working a tessellation rug can be tedious but rewarding when all the tiles fall into place as in the top rug. There can be no overlaps and no gaps. Porter, our grand doggy loves the ocean and the tennis ball behind him won't stay there long. The proud rooster resided in our back yard on Cape Cod--didn't make it to Vermont. the lion is an adaption of one seen at a Vermont museum and then the leaf rug really made the recycled wool stand out.
Happy New Year and I hope I get to post more often
